What EpilepsieNL does
- Sharing of knowledge and information - We help people to know what to expect. What are you supposed to do when someone has a seizure? What is the impact of epilepsy on daily living? What treatments are there?
- Fundraising - Together we're aiming for change. You. Me. Us. About 30% of people with epilepsy don't respond to current treatments. The battle for better treatment options continues.
- Community building - We connect, meet up and share our stories. In The Netherlands 200.000 people are directly affected by epilepsy and over a million people's child, brother, sister, parent or colleague.
- Research - Our top researchers work hard to research new medicine, treatment methods and the origins of epilepsy. As long as there's no cure, epilepsy keeps disturbing lives.
